Setup Guide

Copy the Action Import String

Copy the Action Import text from Quick Access.

Import the actions into Streamer.bot

In Streamer.bot click Import in the top menu. Paste the text into the Import String field. Click Import at the bottom.

Enable the commands

Open the Commands tab. Find the imported group. Right-click the group and click Enable All.

Open the Settings UI once

Open the action [TEMPORARY VIP] 0 - Settings. Right-click the Test trigger and hit Test Trigger. Click Save.

If the TawmaeUI.dll is missing, you'll be asked to auto-download. That popup window may appear behind the Streamer.bot window, so make sure to check if nothing appears.

Done!

You can now start to customize your stuff or just use commands to add your first temporary VIPs (or whatever trigger you wish to use)

Temporary VIP – Management

Settings UI

General

Core behavior of the temporary VIP system. Configure default time, stacking, slot limits, exclusions and how chat responses are sent.

Default Time Value
Fallback time value used when no "defaultTime" argument is provided in an action. This value (e.g. 3 Days) is applied as the default duration for temporary VIPs.
Allow Stacking
If enabled, new temporary VIP time is added on top of the remaining time. If disabled, new grants overwrite any remaining time with the new value.
Max. Slots
Optional limit for the number of concurrent temporary VIPs. When enabled, only the configured number of slots can be active at the same time. Depending on your peak unique chatters, the effective channel limit may vary.
Excluded Group
Users in this group are excluded from becoming temporary VIPs and from having their VIP status removed by the system (they remain permanent VIPs).
Regional Date Format
In chat responses, you can now toggle whether it always uses 'Saturday, 22 November 2025 23:18' as the format or use your regional one.

Chat Responses

Configure all chat messages used by the temporary VIP system. Use a single hyphen to disable a specific response. Variables are listed below each textbox; fields can be reset to default individually.

FAQ & Examples

How can I give someone a temporary VIP role for a channel reward redemption?

I did include an example action [TEMPORARY VIP] Example Action: Channel Reward.

But here are the steps to recreate it:
1. Create a new action
2. Create a new trigger Twitch -> Channel Rewards -> Reward Redemption and select your channel reward.
3. Create a new subaction Core -> Arguments -> Set Argument, then type defaultTime as the Variable Name and the time to add as its Value, for example 1d for a day.
4. Create a second subaction Core -> Actions -> Run Action and select the action [TEMPORARY VIP] 1 - Add Time
5. Done! Now whenever someone redeems it, they'll get VIP for a day. And if for whatever reason the adding fails, their points are automatically refunded (for that, Streamer.bot needs to 'own' the reward though, so it has to be created within Streamer.bot)
